This website
A quiet, static home for a journal, photographs and projects — built to last years, not seasons.
What it is
The site you are reading. A personal journal, a few photo stories and a place for things I build — with no feed, no comments and no analytics.
Why I built it
Because every platform I published on eventually changed the deal. I wanted a home that I controlled, that loaded fast, and that I could still understand and maintain in ten years.
How it works
Astro generates a mostly static site from Markdown and MDX stored in Git. Images are delivered through Cloudinary. There is no database, no CMS and no client-side JavaScript to speak of.
What I learned
That boring architecture is a feature. Content collections plus a handful of components have replaced what used to be a small CMS, and the whole thing builds in seconds.
Current status
Active. The foundation is done; now it is a matter of writing more and adding features only when they genuinely earn their place.
