About

I'm Giuseppe. I work with data and software, mostly building the quiet platforms that other people end up depending on. Away from work I travel, take photographs, and write here — about the places I go, the ideas I keep circling back to, and the small tools I build for myself.

This site is my attempt at a slower kind of internet. There are no feeds, no likes, no notifications and nothing that wants to be refreshed. It is simply a place that accumulates over time: a journal, a few photo stories, and the things I make.

I care about craft — in code and in writing. I care about software that stays understandable a decade after it was written, and about photographs that say something without needing a caption. I'm curious about how technology shapes the way we live, and increasingly interested in doing less of it, better.

Right now I'm based in Barcelona, learning Chinese, and slowly turning travel into a habit rather than a holiday. If you'd like to know what I'm up to at the moment, theNow page is the honest answer.
